Throughout the year the HPFA offers many events, fundraisers, and other opportunities to get involved in the Hawk community. These activities wouldn't be possible without the support of YOU - our volunteers! We appreciate all the time and effort our volunteers put into making each event and project memorable for our students. THANK YOU! Interested in volunteering this year?
⬇️Below you'll find each committee's function and a brief description of what's involved and estimated time commitments so you can decide which opportunities work for you!
New this year! Participating students will be allowed to wear pajamas to school and get a soft pretzel or popcorn delivered to their classroom on the first Friday of every month! Volunteers will help organize and distribute the snacks to classrooms.
Estimated Time Commitment: 1 hour for sorting and classroom delivery.
Be a part of our 5 unique school store experiences. Students have the opportunity to test their independence and shop at our Hawk Market during their recess period. The store offers a variety of fun items for students to purchase ranging from $0.25-$3.00.

Estimated Time Commitment: Varies on section and level of involvement from 1 hour to 40 hours.
Staff appreciation is a big event for the HPFA. We celebrate our teachers and staff several times throughout the year to show our appreciation for what they do for our students and Hawk community. Our biggest event is the first week of May for National Teacher Appreciation Week
Estimated Time Commitment: Participation varies upon event, but may consist of making a covered dish for the luncheon or volunteering at the luncheon for 2.5 hours.

Estimated Time Commitment: Participation is about 1 hour per month for planning meetings and subsequent subcommittee responsibilities such as decorations, party activities, photo montage, food and beverage planning.
Bus helpers play a vital role in welcoming our newest students! They guide our kindergarteners and first graders to their classrooms in the morning and help them find their buses in the afternoon, making their first week of school a positive and smooth experience.
Estimated time requirement for each volunteer time: 30 minute shift (morning or afternoon)
Chalk the Walk is a fun E.T. Hamilton Tradition! During the first week of school, the HPFA hosts a FREE meet & greet event with an ice cream truck, games, and of course plenty of chalk to mark up the front sidewalk with welcoming messages and drawings to kick off the new school year. Chalk the Walk is a great opportunity to engage with our Hawk community and meet fellow classmates and families! Volunteers are needed to assist with games.
Estimated time commitment: 30 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Plan out a fun-family focused event to celebrate fall! This committee helps to select an event and plan related activities for our students in an after-school or weekend event to take place in the month of October.

Holiday Shop is a fun experience for our students to shop for family members during the winter holiday season. Volunteers also assist with set up before the event and breakdown at its conclusion.
Estimated Time Commitment: The shop runs for one week during November. Volunteers work shifts from 30 minutes up to 4 hours, during school hours.
E.T. Hamilton proudly partners with the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF) in Voorhees, NJ, to host a meaningful annual fundraiser. Estimated Time Commitment: The event is typically held for 1 day during student lunch periods (approx. 2 hours of volunteer time).
The annual Scholastic Book Fair is held in our very own school library. Students have several opportunities to shop for books and other fun items: during their class's scheduled time, at Family Night, and at our Grandfriends' event.
